Delete Your Account

This page applies to all mobile applications developed, owned, or operated by Identiq Infotech that allow users to create an account. You may permanently delete your account and the data associated with it at any time using the steps below.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app (recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account is from within the app itself. The exact wording may vary slightly between apps, but the flow is the same:

  • Open the app and sign in (if you are not already signed in).
  • Go to Settings, Profile, Account, or the "Me" / "You" tab.
  • Tap "Delete account" (or "Delete my account" / "Close account").
  • Confirm the action when prompted.

Once confirmed, your account and the data tied to it will be removed from our systems. You will be signed out automatically and will not be able to recover the account afterwards.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app (for example, you have uninstalled it, lost your device, or cannot sign in), you can request account deletion by email:

Send an email to developer@identiqinfotech.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject "Delete my account". Please include:

  • The name of the app you used.
  • The email address, phone number, or sign-in identity associated with your account.
  • Any other identifying detail that can help us locate your account (e.g. username).

We will verify the request and delete the account within 30 days. We may reply to confirm details before processing the deletion to make sure we delete the correct account.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we remove:

  • Your account profile — name, email, phone number, sign-in identity, and user ID.
  • Content you created in the app — entries, settings, preferences, uploads, and similar user-generated data.
  • Device-linked data associated with your account, stored in our cloud (for example, Firebase / Firestore records).
  • Any on-device data the app stored locally, when you uninstall the app or sign out.

What may be retained

A small amount of information may be retained after deletion, strictly for the purposes listed below:

  • Anonymised or aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you as an individual.
  • Records we are legally required to keep (for example, financial transaction logs for tax or audit), which are also deleted at the end of the legally required retention period.
  • Backup snapshots that may temporarily contain residual data; these are overwritten on the regular backup cycle (usually within 30 days).

Third-party services

Some apps use third-party services for sign-in, payments, push notifications, or analytics (for example, Google, Apple, Firebase, payment processors). Where we share your data with these services, we instruct them to delete the relevant data on your account's behalf. You may also need to revoke the app's access in those services' own settings (for example, "Sign in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple") to fully detach the connection.

Children

If you are a parent or legal guardian and would like an account belonging to a minor in your care to be deleted, please email developer@identiqinfotech.com and we will handle the request as a priority.
